League of Legends is played in two divisions, one with 8 teams and one with 4 teams.
The Calibration Tournament takes place as planned and determines the placement into the divisions.
We'll be playing 4 rounds, which means the tournament takes roughly 4 hours.
Check-in starts 10:00, Tournament starts 11:00.
VALORANT has 10 teams, so there will not be two divisions.
All 10 teams play in one division over 9 Round Robin rounds. The Calibration Tournament is not required for VALORANT and is replaced by a fun tournament.
If you would like to participate, make sure to join here.
The VALORANT fun tournament consists of friendly matches and is not part of the official season.
The overall season schedule remains unchanged.
If you and your opponent cannot agree on a date within the required timeframe, the match is automatically played on the default gameday:
League of Legends: Saturday, 19:00
VALORANT: Sunday, 19:00
Round 1 must be played by 18.10.2026. The same principle applies to all following rounds: matches must be completed within the respective round's deadline. The rulebook contains the exact scheduling requirements and deadlines.
Teams that want their match considered for the official broadcast should keep the default gameday in mind. The broadcast team can only cover matches on those evenings.
Our producers will contact teams directly through the Match Channels on Discord. The Alpine League platform generates these channels automatically.
As last season, all match-related communication has to take place in the Match Channels. Watch your Match Channel for scheduling, broadcast information and other match-related communication.
The Winter Season 26/27 rulebooks are now also available on the tournament page for League of Legends or VALORANT.
They have been updated to reflect the season structure and scheduling. Read the current version before the season begins. Match scheduling and all other competition procedures are covered there.
For the Winter Season, we are working with the SESF Refereeing Committee. If a dispute cannot be resolved through the normal match administration process, the committee handles the case.
The committee is available on Monday and Thursday evenings and will contact the parties involved directly if a case is referred to them.
The season is getting closer, and we are looking forward to getting things underway. Thank you for your patience and cooperation while we finalize the systems and season setup.
Good luck, have fun, and see you on the Rift and in VALORANT!
